The fish lantern, a prop used in traditional folk dances, has a history spanning over six centuries. On May 2nd, Heyuan held its inaugural Fish Lantern Night Parade along the Xinfeng River waterfront platform in Yuancheng District. The event was designed as an important showcase window to integrate and innovate Heyuan's urban cultural heritage and tourism IP of "Fish Lantern Night Parade," attracting tourists nationwide to come and explore.

At 8:00 PM sharp on May 2nd, the distant fish lanterns shimmered on the river like emerging stars. Backdropped by the giant water curtain of the Musical Fountain, sixteen fishing boats arranged themselves in various formations. Each vessel carried a 3‑meter-long illuminated fish lantern, creating a scene of "fish lanterns leaping through a starry river." Simultaneously, folk song duets and chorus performances along the riverbanks, combined with boats, fishermen, lanterns, bridges, fountains, and lights, painted a dynamic "Fishing Boats on the River" scene, showcasing the unique fishing village culture of Heyuan.

During the "Thousand-Person Fish Lanterns Parade" part, the organizer formed a procession in which participants held fish lanterns and electronic torches, parading along the waterfront platform. The well-organized procession with cohesive themes presented the aesthetic of "a dragon of fish lanterns shining on the river waves." Many visitors either strolled along the Xinfeng River following the lantern parade to appreciate Heyuan's green ecological environment and fishing culture, or stopped by the riverbank for photos, and took part in fish‑lantern‑making in the cultural experience zone.

In addition, taking local specialties as a promotional point, the organizers set up an Intangible Cultural Heritage Snack Street at Taiping Ancient Street, allowing visitors to savor local delicacies from the "Heyuan Banquet" culinary collection. They also offer various cultural and musical performances, providing a full range of services for the parade participants and local citizens, covering food, drinks, entertainment, and sightseeing.

广东河源举办首届鱼灯夜游活动

鱼灯是中国传统民俗舞蹈的道具之一，鱼灯文化历史悠久，至今已达六百余年。5月2日，河源市在源城区新丰江亲水步道举办河源首届鱼灯夜游活动，以活动打造河源“鱼灯夜游”城市文旅IP与城市文脉传承融合创新的重要展示窗口，吸引各地游客慕名前往欣赏。

5月2日20时整，远处鱼灯闪亮如同繁星初露在江面跃动，借助新丰江高喷水帘巨幕为背景，16艘渔船摆列各类阵型，每艘船挂载3米长鱼灯，形成“鱼灯跃星河”美景。与此同时，现场渔歌对唱、江岸联唱，结合船、渔夫、鱼灯、桥等元素和喷泉灯光之美，现场共绘一幅“江上渔舟捕鱼图”，动态的水幕光影展现独特的河源渔家文化风情。

“千人鱼灯游”环节中，主办方组建巡游方阵，由巡游人员手持鱼灯、电子火把，沿着亲水步道巡游，形成整体层次分明、主题突出的巡游队伍，呈现“鱼灯长龙映江波”的美学景象。在这场鱼灯夜游活动中，不少当地市民、外地游客或跟随鱼灯漫步在新丰江畔欣赏河源的绿色生态环境与感受渔家文化，或在江边驻足合影留念，并在鱼灯文化深度体验区体验鱼灯制作。

此外，主办方还在太平古街设“非遗经典小吃街”，以当地特色小吃为媒介，让各地游客品尝河源美食的同时，推广展示“河源一桌菜”，并提供各类文化表演、歌曲演唱等，为巡游队伍和现场市民提供“吃喝玩乐看”全链条服务。
